About
Mistry Swire architects, an exciting new architectural practice established by Jay Mistry and Eleanor Swire in 2021.
Our studio, which is in Cheadle Village, Stockport, has a reputation for designing unique and considered spaces: in June 2022 we were delighted to win a Manchester Society of Architects award for our first project together and since then we have built a portfolio of successful projects
and happy clients.
Specialising in contemporary buildings and interiors, we always respond to the wishes and budgets of our clients: our aim is to create spaces which will last and be enjoyed by the people who use them.
We can provide a complete package of architectural and interior design services, covering the feasibility, design, technical and construction stages of work to realise your ideal living space. Or, if you prefer, we can simply address individual phases of work to suit your project and requirements.
Approach
We know our clients need us to communicate clearly and regularly. Alongside detailed architectural drawings, we present our ideas through sketches, physical models and digital 3D models. Our projects are denoted by a sensibility to considered materials and meticulous detailing and we work with a robust palette of responsibly sourced natural materials.
Our projects exemplify our ethos that architecture should blend happily with its context, reflecting the culture and history of its surroundings. Harmony and integrity are key and we work to create designs which have a sense of place.
This emphasis on harmony and integrity is also key to our choice of building materials; construction uses precious natural resources and we do not waste them, where we can we re-use existing materials. In the same way we will not suggest alterations which are not needed, sometimes a simple re-modelling or a few well-judged alterations can work wonders, saving our clients’ money and minimising the disruption to their lives.
We value buildings and interiors which are beautiful, but we always seek longevity, durability and efficiency.
Every project is approached on its own terms. As our client you will have our total focus as we work with specialist suppliers and a network of trusted consultants, contractors and crafts-people to achieve your unique design solution.
